Insulating Glass

  • The manufacture of insulating glass at TPRS is done with Bassra Machine Tools Automatic Super Spacer Panel Press Line (UK).
  • Maximum size 2000 mm x 4000 mm.
  • Filled with dry air (conventional) or Argon (for better thermal) or SF6 (better acoustical).
  • Combinations vary and may use clear, tinted, ceramic, decorated or high-performance glass in annealed, tempered, heat-strengthened or laminated form.
  • Step glass is also available
  • Office building, hospitals, hotels, houses and buildings with exceptionally high heating or cooling requirements.
  • Building that need the temperature and humidity strictly controlled such as telephone exchanges, laboratories, etc.
  • For use in airport control towers, train windows, and other environments that need regulated atmosphere and prevention of condensation.
  • Airports and buildings near highways and railways, that can benefit from the sound insulation properly of TPRS.

Prevention of Dew Condensation

With monolithic glass, the temperature difference between the outside and inside of a room will often lead to condensation. With TPRS, however the insulating of the air layer makes it difficult for the glasses to become cold and is consequently harder for dew condensation.


Retards Sound Transmission

Insulating glass can significantly save on exterior noise pollution. The amount of sound radiation depends on combination of the insulating of the glass. Using one of the panes as laminated glass will drastically reduce sound transmission. Using dissimilar thickness of glass panes will also help combat noise. Replacing air with SF6 gas will also reduce sound transfer.


Pleasant Room Temperature

It offers increased personal comfort and aids in energy conservation. Because of its high insulation properties, the lack of cold or warm droughts leads to as pleasant internal environment. Increase strength to withstand wind load.

Insulation

Saves on heating and cooling by reducing air to air heat transfer. The enclosed layer of air makes the insulating capability about twice that of monolithic glass. Because of this, the load on the air conditioning is greatly reduced. The use of heat absorbing or heat or heat reflective glass will further reduce the load on the cooling system.
